Honor Yourself
I’ve been blessed to hear God speaking to me about the power of unconditional self-love, the Divine way. Yet for me, unconditional self-love sometimes feels like a tall order. One day I asked the Divine, “How can I love myself unconditionally?” I was a bit surprised by the Divine’s response: Honor Yourself.
Still confused, I asked, “What does it mean to honor yourself? And how does this lead to unconditional self-love?” As the Divine explains, when you choose from self-love, you honor yourself. When you honor yourself, you grow in self-love and acceptance.
To love unconditionally is to accept all in love without judgment, blame, story, or games. To love yourself unconditionally is to know yourself in the depths of your being, and embrace yourself with full acceptance without judgment. Pure love and full acceptance can transform anyone and anything.
When you experience unconditional love and acceptance, you easily know the difference between being love or being in story and ego. In love, you don’t need to fix, change, or explain anything, and you reject nothing. Yet unconditional love and acceptance can free you to make different choices than you did in the past.
Love yourself enough to honor yourself by your choices.
Wanting to know more, I asked, “How can unconditional love and acceptance free you to make different choices?”
When you love yourself unconditionally, you don’t betray or abandon yourself through non-loving decisions, and you are unwilling to choose what dishonors you or others.
When you love yourself unconditionally, you may choose to walk away from someone or a situation, but you do so without judgment. You leave, because to stay would not be self-loving. Yet you have no need to blame others or to defend yourself. You simply see from love that you must leave. Once you know this, the choice is simple.
Will you love yourself enough to free yourself by choosing differently?
To love yourself unconditionally is to honor yourself by choosing what takes you deeper into self-love and acceptance. It is to step into your power and exercise that power in making choices that honor you.
Honor yourself every day for the remarkable being that you are. This takes you deeper down the path towards loving yourself with Divine unconditional love, as we do. This is to live in beauty.
We honor you for your choice to be with us. Now honor yourself in how you live your life.
For most of my life, I tried to think about others’ needs more than my own, whenever I made decisions. Now I understand that when I betray and abandon myself in my choices, I move away from self-love and self-acceptance.
As it becomes more important to love myself, I’ve changed the way I make decisions. When I honor myself from love, I choose in a way that is not self-serving, but is self-caring. And when I do, I can communicate in a manner that is caring of both me and others. This has truly been liberating.
